A client's dream of a straightforward two-story side extension at a residential property in Stoke-on-Trent's conservation area was initially met with a planning refusal due to heritage and design concerns. However, with our expertise and guidance, the client was able to successfully overturn the decision through a planning appeal.

Our ethos of honesty and upfront communication led us to advise the client that their case could go either way. However, based on our positive reviews and a personal recommendation, the client decided to proceed with our planning appeal services.

We prepared a comprehensive written report, heritage statement, and statement of significance to support the appeal. Our in-depth understanding of conservation area planning regulations and our ability to articulate the merits of the proposed extension proved instrumental in securing a successful outcome.

This case highlights the importance of engaging qualified planning agents from the outset. Had the client sought our expertise at the initial planning application stage, we are confident that the refusal could have been avoided altogether.
